About Us

Cheston Farm Equestrian Centre is today owned and managed by Sophie Pattani and Andrew Osborne.

Sophie is a British Horse Society registered instructor with 30 years of horse ownership. Both a competitor (to affiliate level) and judge, Sophie has a strong Pony Club background both as a member and instructor. In order to continually improve and update, Sophie is now training towards her BHS Intermediate Instructor Qualification (BHSII) and regularly trains with Peter Cook and Andy Lovell (both BHSI).

Sophie has over 10 years of instructing experience, today at Cheston Farm as well as previously as a freelance instructor at several riding schools and to private clients - as well as instructing at an equestrian college.

Sophie recently gained a post graduate teaching qualification (PGCE) and (not so recently)  captained the Riding Team at Millfield School where she regularly hunted in Blackmore Vale country and team chased.

Andrew currently works in a non-equine role but hopes to come full time into the business to manage the redevelopment and the facilities and land.

Andrew has held various management and director level roles having worked in the public sector and for Non-Government Organisations.

Employment

We are currently looking to recruit part-time and weekend grooms.

We will also be looking to recruit BHS qualified Instructors in the future.
